Yeah thats why I said it depends on the hog. A sow that just had babies is gonna be way less! And same with a sickly sow or boar. But on average 25-30% is about spot on for bone out meat. I weigh about a dozen a year that way and it's always about that %

this is true. that sow i got and boar were way skinny.

You must have had barely enough for a slimjim with that first one you killed! :mrgreen:
