I had a guy at the range taking a CWP class last week with a lcr the trigger pull was terrable, but any double action revolver is tough , if you are aiming a shot, single action is the best for that type, Hammerless double action is hard also.. for firing all rounds from the hip is fine if the intruder is 5 fet away.. a auto in single action is smooth, glock with its 5 1/2 lb is also tough, i had a 3 1/2 lb put in my g19, and it is really smooth. now you are concerned about a round in the chamber, as was previous said a good holster will prevent any accidents.. what you need to do is go somewhere you can try out some firearms before buying, because once you get a new gun just like a car as soon as you get it out of the box the resale is drastic ,, a hint try a walter PK380, great sites and site picture, and good size for CCW . Good luck
+1 sp101, a little heavier but will hold up much better to hot 357 self defense loads. for smaller size/lighter weight decent stopping power and higher round capacity check out the kahr pm 9mm
I like the looks of a revolver and think a hammerless would be easier to draw. The Kahr looks nice but is pricey. I will probably look for something previously owned it try to keep cost down. Thanks guys. :toast
S&W 500 snubby. Just keep the grip right over your waistband in the front for all the gangstas to see.
Old PapaJ (AKA TBone) has to add his gangsta BS.....
The Glock, Kahr or LCR/LCP are great conceal guns.
You want something that conceals easily, is light weight, draws quickly, and doesn't require alot of thought to shoot in high stress situations.
My two cents...
