Looking seriously at one of these now especially with bow season quickly approaching. I've shot one, and it didn't feel too bad. Not exactly as smooth as a 686 in .357, but it isn't a revolver either. And the price seems about right too for a NIB w/2 14 rnd mags ($330 + delivery).

Any opinions? And yes, I know, it isn't the top of the line Sig or Glock, but it's far better than the HiPoint. And I prefer something close to full size, versus a compact, stick in my front pocket, hide in my pant leg gun. Not too many places I can carry all day with my job.

I am in the same dilema, carry my 357 6 shot wheel or go with a 17 rd glock. always carried my AMT 360 before but traded it for the 357 26oz.

I have one(40 cal), carry it every day, and love it. If you read the reviews online, you will find the #1 biggest complaint is the trigger. It has a fairly heavy trigger pull and it feels a bit grainy. I can't argue that, but it does not bother me. Just keep in mind it is a double action gun. Also, if you look on line there are methods to redo the trigger yourself. I am not going to tinker with that on my CC gun. Ive shot several hundred rounds mine w/o a single ftf or any other problems. Disassemble can be done with 2 fingers in a matter of about 5 seconds. Check the gun shops, as S &W has been offering a $50 rebate off and on with this gun

Find a used glock full size 40 Cal and never look back. Tested and proven. The FBI carried the Sig Sauer for almost 10 years and a few LE organizations still do. The FBI switched to Glock in the late 90's because of ease of use, ease of firing and qualifying, weight, accuracy, dependability, and simple maintenance. They have been there primary weapon for over 20 years now. They aren't pretty but they will shoot in the cold, snow, ice, water, mud, dirt, etc. and not fail. The SIG will do the same thing except they cost twice as much.

If you were to buy a 40 Cal full size Glock 22 all you have to do is the buy a full size Glock 9MM barrel (Glock 17 Barrel, about $100-$175) and a couple 9MM mags, take the 40 barrel out, put the 9MM barrel in, change mags and now you have two guns in one. 9MM ammo is much cheaper to practice with than 40 Cal. They can be had for $300-$400 with a couple mags used. Besides, you will be able to get 100% of your money back if you have to sell it. My two cents.

gunboys right on the money with that call! for the same price find a used glock 22 and probly get a holster and a few xtra mags thrown in and no tax ( private sale only). I had one of the earliest s&w sigmas, what a p.o.s.!, newer ones have worked the bugs out.
