I love lever guns they are just so classic, just don't like to see scopes on em I've had a mdl 9422 and wish I still did and a mdl 94xtr375 love em both and like marlins also but would rather have a browning then marlin, the winchesters just remind me of john wayne and old westerns. just don't shoot them open sights as well as I used to

can you still get a browning in 35 wheelen? thats an awesome round. the 444's and 4570's are just a little too heavy on the recoil/noise for me. the 375 is suprisingly not bad 220 gr at app 2100fps, but I havent hit anything beyond 75yds ( which is a long shot for me, with open sights) the 358 is it? skunkape talks about would be another round on my short list.

Marlin 336 in 30-30. You should know that already. I don't own one, but I've shot my uncle's ol dirty 30 more than he has. There is also a 300 Savage lever gun out there. My FIL has one. Not sure if you can get them anymore, and ammo can be a bit difficult to find.
