I just finished hand rubbing 4 coats of wax over danish tung oil on my Springfield Armory M1 Garand late 50's mil issued, and reassembled.
Along with my Iver Johnson M1 Carbine late 80's non mil issued on matching canvs fleece lined gun bags.

aside from the finish did you get the go ahead to let some lead fly yet? the garrand and the bar are the 2 ww2 guns I'd like to have most, maybe a thompson 45 too.
