It's the Hoot-N-Holler club in Perry. The club is about 5000 acres and there about 20 members, most of which hunt hog. It seam almost all the stands are concentrated in one area. I don't feel i have any disadvantage at this club, because I can hunt during the week while most guys are weekends only. Also, I have the most capable vehicle, so high water and deep mud are not a problem, thus I can travel place the other guys cannot until the water goes down. It's just so confusing, because every time I found a nice spot I seemed to find a nicer one ten minutes later.

I prefer a stand in a thin strip of woods with oaks/acorns between a field or clearcut on one side and a swamp or drainage area/water source on the another, 3 diff types of terrain, if it's in a bottleneck or funnel area a big +1. aerial maps can help alot to find such a spot, then footwork for signs of prints, wallows, rooting, scrapes, rubs and food sources. then use the camera to see if you were right, the game found and their travel time/routine. youre on the right track getting away from the others. you have alot to do in a little time but at least your info will be current. I would strongly advise lock boxes for your cameras. good luck. if the other guys are all bunched up and running feeders they will become patterned before long, look for an escape/travel coridoor away from them leading to thick cover.

strunes, Sounds like you are like the man with too many guns! Can't decide which one to use. Pick one that favors you and stick with it. Having said that, It sounds like you will be in a good place because of your vehicle and also other lease members usually hunt weekends. Good luck! Some where on this forum there is thread about hunting vehicles, would love to see what you will be hauling Bambi on for his last ride. Treefarmer

I had to drive the Lexus that time, because a rifle won't fit in my Porsche. LOL
