I just joined a lease in Perry that belongs to a logging company, it's about 5000 acres. There is every type of terrain, thus I am having a hard time figuring out where to put up my stands and feeders. Some guys tell me set up my stand on the side of a road and hunt the road without a feeder. Another guy told me set up the stand at the edge of a clear cut and hunt the tree line. Then another guy tells me to put my stand deep into the woods and run a feeder every morning. The problem is I have no clue who to listen to. I have seen deer prints both on the roads and in the clear cut. Please give me some solid advise.

Of someone on the lease said to hunt the road. You shouldnt even setup. Pack up and leave. Sounds like my old club. Crap.

Club rules are, no stands within 200 yards of roads.

I don't care where you put it. Hunting the roads is idiotic.
