the guy that ill be hunting with shot his first elk with a bow at 60 yards, he said it only ran 50. i dont think i would shoot that distance, but ill dang sure be practicing, if my confidence is up then i might, but its like you said, i would be happy to just see one. the weather ought to be decent that time of year, shouldn't be cold anyhow, at least not too cold.
yeah it should be a nice hunt he told me that the highs are in the 60's that time of year. and lows in the 30's. but for me thats jacket weather and for them thats shorts weather!!
