What about a Browning A-bolt?

Most aftermarket triggers are based on the old remington design. I have two 700's with self adjusted factory triggers that many cant tell apart from a timney or rifle basix, just my experience though.

thats why I buy alot of older weapons now. they had workers that were very skilled and built guns by hand and hand polished and matched together fitting parts, not just pressing buttons on computerized lathes, and were not told by lawyers and insurance companies how to make their products. and the workers took pride in their work, not just bringing home a paycheck. plus better quality materials, no plastic and the wood was a thing of beauty nice to look at as well as shoot.

No question about that. The newer rifles ive handled just dont add up. Im working on an enfield .303 british right now. Modern rifles dont compare to that era of worksmanship.

Yeah, that can be said about a lot of products these days. Seems like everything is built to be replaced every year or two.
