What about a Browning A-bolt?

Good deal, the Redfields are hard to find in stores right now plenty of them online though. The Rifleman isnt a bad scope at all. Out of curiousity whyd you want a 50 mm lens so bad?

Because I'm getting old and I don't see as good as I did a few years ago. I like the fact it gathers more light so I can see my target better when it's darker outside.I've always had 3x9x40,basically jut wanted to try one out.

I have an uncle that swear by bigger reticles the only thing I can knock them for is not being able to use low or extrta low mounts with them. He has an old Leupold 50 mm and if you stay in the stand til you cant see with it you better not shoot or youll get a friggin ticket.
