That guy is not inerested at all in meeting me 1/2 way with cash. I think I'm gonna stick to a 700 or a tikka. That's the only problem with online shopping, you either have to travel or pay shipping costs and not actually handle the rifle.I decided to buy that wsm, guess I'll just go to DIcks or Gander.

If your gonna get a 700 shop around for a used ADL in the classic walnut long actions ( .270, 30-06 etc.) can be had for 350 to 450 and IMO are a helluva lot better rifle than the sps and more time proven than the tikka. The A-bolts ive handled were not at all to my liking.

I have a .300 Weatherby Vanguard with a synthetic stock that has some dings and such in it. I believe it was dropped from a decent height or something, forget exactly. It puts the bullets almost in the same hole at 100 yards. Ammo is pricey ($60-70 a box for Weatherby, but there are knock offs I think) if you don't reload or know someone that does. I don't mind the kick too much, but it's not a gun I'm going to take to the range and shoot 50 times in 2 hours....unless I put a muzzlebrake and recoil pad on it.

I'm getting some reloads for it soon, I can bring it up when I find time to get my puppy up there and you can shoot it if you'd like. I'm not interested in selling mine, but new one's can be had for $400 I think.

The .300 Weatherby ballistics are pretty impressive IMO.
