Anyone shoot them? What is a parkerized barrel? What is one worth that's mint?
5k? What is it gold plated?
I have an A-bolt hunter mdl in 270wsm 23"bbl and wood stock. it has some nice features, but will cost you: tang safety right on top under yout thumb where they belong. hinged floor plate with detacthable mag, if that realy floats your boat, wood is ok not great not crap, nice trigger, thin whippy barrel that keeps wt down but hurts consistency ( can be fixed with a bedding job ), bolt handle works at less than the usual degree ( shorter throw) and is a short action caliber so maybe cycles a little faster. with my nosler 130 gr partition handloads it's truly amazing how much harder and faster it puts game down than my 7mm08 with 140 gr nosler partition handloads. if I were going to use it more for sitting than carrying I'd go for a model with a thicker bbl and wood laminated stock. ammo is expensive and burns alot more powder than a reg 270, but you'll get about 300 fps more. it is a fat diam case so the mag only holds 3 can squeze in 4 with one in the chamber. and a heavier/faster recoil than the reg 270. do you really need that extra performance when the reg 270 and 06 work so well? probly not but it's kinda fun to have and would come in real handy if I ever took it out west
I found a guy selling one in .300. It has a parkerized barrel and synthetic stock for 600.00. Is it a decent rifle comparable to a 700 SPS or Tikka?
300 wsm or win mag? I'm not a fan of synthetic stocks, they are cheap and kick like hell, talk to crock about parkerized finishes, price is ok, not great for used unless it has a decent scope
