OK. Some of em are a bit pricey, but there are deals out there to be had. Thermocell charges like 9.99 for one butane refill and 3 pads. I'd say that comes out to about the same or less.

where did you see that $ 9.99 box, all I've seen in stores is the one butane cartidge and 3 pads for like 6$, I haven't been using mine long and already have 6 pads and 1 butane.

It's funny how the pads build up. I've got at least 30 pads and only 2 cartridges. Eventually I'll head to Harbor Freight and get what I need to try the refill thing. I keep hearing that you can get the cartridges in the make up area at walmart but have yet to find them anywhere.
