saw some left over d-50 cameras at the Wal-Mart in Lake Wales. $69.00 each. The d-55s are the new ones that use C batteries. the d-50 still uses the d cells, and arn't made anymore.

i have 4 d-40s and 2 d-55s out in the woods now. haven't had much problems with them. one d-40 is goofy acting but that was because of a bad SD card.

The new trophy cam, 1 year battery life and $166 on Amazon....I am thinking about it as I spend a fortune on Batts.

I love my d-40 or d-50 (?). It has been the best camera by far I've ever owned. Tough and reliable. It's outlasted bushnells, cuddebacks, Stealths, and Wildlife Innovations (no surprise there lol).
