Anyone here used this camera? They have them on ebay for about $78 (includes shipping). From what I've read on here, Moultire seems to be the brand of choice. I also see the following brands on ebay:
Wildview
Wildgame Innovations
Tasco
Leaf River
Cuddeback
Bushnell
Any experience with these other brands? Some are quite a bit pricier than the Moultrie products, but if you think it's worth the extra, let me know why. Thanks.
I have had great luck with my Moultrie's.(D-40's) They both have taken well over 300k pics each. I have one that the lcd is not working, but still takes pics. Great customer service
I will never own a Wildgame Innov camera again. Never had one work properly, and they won't work with me on my model I have.
Had a cheap Wildview that was exactly that, cheap. I do hear their higher priced models are decent
I have 2 Tasco cameras in my truck that I am on my way to return now. One was facing a feeder and I got a total of 5 pics in a week. Other one had so many grainy lines in it is a joke
I am going to return those and use that money towards a Bushnell Trophy cam. They are a little more $$, but run on AA batteries that will last a year. You will spend a mini fortune on D batteries with the others, as I do with my Moultrie's
What about using a spring-top battery and solar charger?
I HAD THE d50ir they sell them in wamlart. They are great cameras.. Little and take 4c batteries. Great night and day pictures..
It has no temp, moon, or cam name feature. But otherwise about the same pics as the d55ir. Id pay 20 more bucks and get the d55ir. When i bought my two d55irs I kept the d50ir Box from walmart and returned for gas credit.
Kinda funny...
I go to Wally World Monday and return those POS Tasco cameras. I tell the gal at the return desk they need to be returned to the mfgr, not resold due to the lack of quality, lack of pics, etc...
So I run in Wally World today to grab something real quick. Walk thru sporting goods, and there are the 2 cameras I returned hanging on the shelf, re-taped and ready for resale. Fortunately, I left a sticky note on the inside of each camera that simply said BOUGHT AND RETURNED THESE. QUALITY OF PICS WAS HORRIBLE. Hopefully the poor sap that buys them will see it before he wastes his time putting them out in the woods
