Check Cabelas if you're into that particular Leupold. I saw it for $239.00 about a week ago. I bought that exact scope through them in August for $229.00.
Better yet on a great quality for the money Leupold.... I think Bass Pro had a run on them also....
Personally I use a 4X Burris on my Winchester 94 Trapper Carbine .44 Mag and a Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5X25 on my Browning BLR TD in .308 for my under 100 yard and under scoped guns but both of those scopes are in the $400 dollar range, more than he paid for the Remmy 7400 .30-06....
Best scope I've ever had for most of Florida hunting scenarios is the Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36.... around $400 shipped.
