skunkape, those old 375's for the lever actions are a whole different cartridge than the 375 alskan. the alaskan gets about another 1'000 fps and at least double the recoil. yes the old 375's were discontinued but I still reload for mine and it works great 220 gr hornady flat point at app 2100 fps if you fill it up to the top with reloader 7,but hornady just stopped making the 220 gr flat point and the leverevolutions are not avail in 375 yet. and it has alot less recoil and noise than the 444. have only used mine on deer so far, would love to see how it works on hogs. regarding the 375, did we finaly find something we can both agree on? I know weve butted heads a few times in the past, no hard feelings. and good job putting crock on a hog to knife. was he running thru the woods with the blade held in his teeth?
