Well for one i like turkeys and while I'm hunting deer turkeys are in season. I have had turkey walking around under me and deer will react to what they do. just like a deer looking up at squirrels that are barking. You know every squirrels eventually find a nut so anything is possible.
For animals i say it more the break up pattern and shape is what maters
I have several thoughts on this topic. First, the patterns on camo clothes are geared toward blending in with the outdoors. Yea, will it prob be as effective if it were the same patterns in tie die colors but if you are making or buying the clothes wouldn't you just make them into shades of green, I mean who wants to see a bunch of weird colors walking around in the woods.
The other thing I believe many are forgetting is the reason most hunt. Whether it's tradition, fun or spending time with family its all about the experience. Finding the best looking hunting cloths and pulling them out during the hunting season may be apart of that experience. I know for me messing with my hunting clothes before a hunt is similar to having deer or fish mounts. They are completely unnecessary but when I am preparing for a trip I get exited my just looking at them.
I also agree with whoever said they don't want to destroy their street clothes. To add to that, I also try to keep my clothes as scent free as possible and using your normal street clothes would be detrimental to that goal.
vision is most game animals weakest sense and most likely they will smell, see movement or hear you before they notice what your wearing
I wear a old pair of jungle camo pants. They were my Uncles and he wore them in Vietnam. They are the most comfortble pants and every time I put them on it makes me think of all the vets. My favorite part is when someone Says "Where did you get you pants they look old" I tell them the story and now they are thinking about The great people who serve are country. And yes they actually did see the ground in vietnam and made it home with my Uncle. So THANK YOU to all who serve.
