just saw a box of winchesters top of the line sabot slugs for $20 for 5 rounds. just came across some info on reloading rifled slugs. dixie slugs is selling 12 ga 3" sabots .503" 460 grain at 1500 fps for $13 including shipping, will be looking into them plus their #1 shot and tri-ball rounds ( 3- 60 caliber balls in a 3" 12 ga shell) for 12$ for 5 shipped.
hogs.. 12 gauge 00 buck. works like a charm every time. Never had one run more then 20 feet. And i allways walk right up to them at about 10 feet or closer.
never again will I use buck shot for hogs,getting a slug gun or new barrel for my winchester

I think I've seen 3 or 4 big boar hogs that we skinned that had a load of buckshot in their shield. Never even made it to the meat.I try not to kill them big nasty stinking things anymore,I like the 50 lb hogs.
