I'm going to be doing a lot of hunting with my 870 with rifled slugs this year. It feels pretty natural, as a sluggun is what I grew up hunting with. Not a big fan of buckshot in 90% of applications myself....though I reckon there are times when it proves useful.
I recently bought an older (1969) Belgium-made Browning A5 Lite 12, 24" barrel with rifle sights on it, and the only reason I got it was to use as a deer/hog gun. Might try some of these bad boys with it:
hogs.. 12 gauge 00 buck. works like a charm every time. Never had one run more then 20 feet. And i allways walk right up to them at about 10 feet or closer.
never again will I use buck shot for hogs, getting a slug gun or new barrel for my winchester
Man up and walk up on it. puss. JK..
Buckshot is ok for those little pigs Carlos kills, but them pellets will bounce right off of a big boar hog.
yea and the 3030 on that big stinky one on your lease? Hit him twice.. he gangster limped and kept running until running got boring.. lol
