i am 34 soon to be 35. fired my fist gun at 10. unfortunately nobody hunted in my family. something i had a passion for since i was a kid. my great gandfather hunted and i guess heredity is where i got the bug. i hunt only wma's on the very rare occasion i get to hunt private property. i have taught myself anything i know about hunting, as most people i meet in the woods dont talk much. lose lips sink ships kinda deal, cant say i blame em. after joining the forum i have leaned a few things from the guys who comment on my posts. Most of what i learn like nacho comes the hard way by making a mistake. i learn something new everytime i go to the woods, and now that i added bowhunting and muzzleloading to increase my odds i got a bunch more to learn.
Started when I was 18 in the glades on my own. I'd go out a few times a year but never got anything. Got back into it about 12 years ago. No one in my family hunts and I never had anyone take me to the woods till I did it on my own. I do learn alot on forums but more by spending time in the woods.
I grew up in West Africa and spent all my free time hunting for whatever we could find...which sometimes was much bigger than our slingshots could handle. I'm just getting back into it this year and its a completely different game here.
MY UNCLE'S, MY DAD DID NOT HUNT. START OUT AT 10 AND BEEN DOING IT EVER SINCE. MOST OF THE TIME BY MY SELF.
Only hunt in Florida. Still learning only in my second season. My son wanted to try so I started doing research on this site. Only have a couple squirles in the bag but thanks to everyone here I am learning more and gonna put some meat in the freezer this year.
