I think the game responds to hand spread corn better anyways. I am probably not going to run feeders this coming season
Hand spreading is great if you don't live more than 30 minutes from your hunting area. :scooter

I'm 6 hrs. from mine but normally go up every other week during season.
When I show up to hunt I spread 50#'s in a pretty big area. If you put it in a pile they'll eat it quicker,spread it out and they work at it longer. I set my feeders for 2 seconds max,if I'm not hunting every week just once a day around noon. When I'm hunting steady once around 8:00 am and once between 4 and 5 pm.
haven't been to my feeder/camera since app new years, it was empty of corn and batteries dead then. I'm gonna take it down and re-think tactics for that place, move it or put it in the garage. working on a new private property area a few miles away. much less acreage and closer neighbors but saw a 12 point skull from the place. it's a horse area and a new neighbor has had some colts attacked by yotes that he thinks is his neighbors dogs that are kept in a kennel. he's putting up mesh and barbed wire on the split rail between the 2 properties (like thats gonna do anything) on 1 side only lol, trying to start a range war lol, so I'll try the coyote hog hunt angle and maybe try the feeder/camera there.
You didn't like his "attack" on dogs, yet he was only firing back after YOUR "attack" on hunting feeders.
Different strokes for different folks. It's all legal so why fight each other about it? You don't like hunting feeders (as evidenced by your sarcastic comment about it) so he jabbed back about using dogs.
You're allowed to jab but can't take it when someone jabs back? If that's all it takes to make you leave FOHAF then maybe you weren't cut out for this internet forum stuff.
Instead, why don't you just stick around and let it roll off your back like most folks do. If you can't take it, don't dish it out.
