Does anyone use an Aimpoint scope on their hunting rifle? I know they do not magnify so I am wondering how well they work at 100 yards, 200 yards, 300 yards? Let me know what ya'll think.

If you are looking to shoot that far I would invest in a decent variable power scope red dots are good for shorter ranges try looking through one at the gun shop at a distance of 100+ yards and i'll bet the reddot is bigger than what your aiming at JMO.

I agree with Tim. If you get one with, lets say a 4MOA, the dot will cover the entire bullseye at 100, and probably cover the entire 8" target at 200.

I have one on my Ar, and am probably gonna take it off, put it on my 30-30 or 44, and get a regular reticle scope for the AR

Good advise. I have one on my 12 Gauge Rifled slug gun and it's awesome inside of 60-70 yards... Outside 60-70 yards and your target gets covered up and it's tougher to get a great shot....

Thanks.......I am thinking of putting one on my 30-30. I also have an older Redfield scope that is a fixed 4x that I might put on it as well.
