were you wearing snake boots at the time & did they stop the bite? if not wearing them, how bad did it get, what was the outcome?
First was the cotton mouth, Turkey season when I was about 14 years old. I actually had rubber boots on. I was walking an old tram road that had a wash out in it. The snake was coiled up, and I stepped down on it with my left foot. I saw him just as I put my foot down. I eased my foot up and he struck the bottom of my boot as I was backing it away from him. That scared the ever living shart out of me
The rattle snake was the same deal. I was going in woods day before gun season opened to put up my climber. He was actaully crawling across the trail I was walking in, and didn't see him till right as I put my foot down. I stepped on him a few inches in front of his tail. He whipped around and hit me on the ankle faster than I could move
Did he penetrate the skin?
