Makes you wonder why a couple of the former board members are so hell bent on keeping hunters out all together. I am in the line of thought that if it is a public land it should be opened to all to a certain extent. The bird watchers, hikers and what not can have the land for their use a lot more time than hunting season would allow the hunters. But, some folks just don't see it that way. They kind of act like the hunters show up and go through every square inch of land, rooting it up like a bunch of hogs.
huge swftmd tracts west of us 19 from weeki wachi/rte 50 north past rte 98 and into homosassa chock full of game and could get easy access thru chazz or homosassa parks.thought for sure those would have been opened.
hunted some of that parcel when i was much younger with dogs few deer but ran a bunch of bears around!alot of them in there.they get ran over all the time crossing us 19.
Make up for the few places they closed last season, I guess. :wacko
