Has anyone tried a blood tracking light like this one... http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/c...aspx?a=421674 ?

I bought one for 2011 bear season but didn't have to use it as my guests shot their bear with a bow early evening and we didn't have to chase it. I am not sure if it was a good investment or not? I do use peroxide when following a blood trail as it works perfect. It foams as soon as it hits blood and makes it easy to follow a blood trail.

I heard they don't work so well and now have 2 of them. the peroxide in a spray btl sounds like a real good idea, is that a boghopper technique? what province are you in? I spent 3 weeks south of huson bay, north of roun quebec in 74 and they didn't care much for americans or the english at the time. saw a guy get egged and feathered and dragged thru the streets, is that some kind of canadian festival? nobody would speak english to us even though you knew they could.

I have yet to see a blood light that works. 3 different brands. Coleman lantern is the best you can use

I tried one. I tried tracking a double lunged 6 pt with it that was spraying blood everywhere. It doesn't show up as well as you think. I bought it too from Sportsmans Guide. The regular flashlight part of the blood light was pretty good though and I would've bought another one just for the regular flashlight part lol.

That definitely sounds like Quebec...some of the french are really anti-english. I live in Nova Scotia and all easterners are hospitable no matter who you are. Surely you must have heard of Eastern Canadian Boys? Yeah peroxide works really well but I haven't tried the blood light as yet, I have not been getting very good reviews.
Cheers and safe hunting
