i tried following the moons for many things.. it never works.. i just hunt when i can. I know 3am is the best time to be in your stand whenever day of the year you are hunting.

Always seems to me that if the weather is good, the deer like to feed all night while the full moon is bright. Then they tend to sleep in, and like you said move around again around mid to late morning, like they had to get up to take a dump or something! Don't know if it's scientifically accurate, but just an observation.

I've had good luck in Green swamp following a full moon. Just get in your stand early, 'cause after first light you'll not see 'em again till late , if at all.

from 11am to 3pm I have found the most movement they then near stagging area and hold up until near dark when they move heavier to feed.
