to anyone who hunts the strand hammock/hamptons fence line area.fwc is there choping 500 acres of palmettos and oaks an they have run over several climbers stashd in the palmettos an ladder stands that are on the trees an they are taking alot of stands, so if yaw go there next yr to hunt,your stand are gone an the area is gona look like a waste land..just wanted to let yaw know..
Hence the reason for the rules to remove stands and equipment after season is over
I marked a bunch of nice stands when I was on the hog dog hunt,I think they're free for the taking if the get left in there,right?
i believe they are, i know where there must be 30 old stands through out greenswamp. i just assume leave em, check their stability, and use em. some of em have been there for years.
theyre not free for the taking,just because some people leave the stands there all year doesnt mean you can steal them..no your not suppose to leave them during the off season..just leting the strand hammock area hunters know that most of the stands will be destroyed or taken the fwc technicion an his crew...
