I recently heard the hog numbers are wayyyy down year over year at dinner island....true? I also read reports of extensive trapping and mass numbers of hunters. Can anyone confirm or clarify? From what I read the hunters were numbered so high, that it was borderline unsafe??? Wtf is going on out there?
Thanks for the input in advance!
I was going to head there this weekend but maybe spirit of the wild is a better option at this point??
I've been hearing the same thing. I'll give you a warning though. I'm taking 10 father son crews for a camping trip there this weekend. Basically just to camp but we will be doing a little driving around more than likely. I'd like the kids to maybe spot some game while enjoying the view. The kids range from 5 to 12 yrs. old. All the kids have been begging me to take them to the woods so I put together a little camping trip that has now gotten to 20 people. :pinch I made all of them get orange vests to wear outside of camp but told them that we will not be venturing into the woods anywhere there might be someone. In hindsight I have no idea what I was thinking. :wacko
Thanks for the heads up....maybe ill wait on dinner island until I hear more (and maybe a rpt from you if I'm lucky haha). Looks like spirit!? We shall see...... Thanks for the response
Spirit ain't no better , everybody saw that Dinner was crappy now they are going over there . Good Luck bud
Got back yesterday afternoon. Only 6 hogs pulled out on Saturday. Only a couple more on Sunday by the time we left. Lots of people checked in too.
