Yeah, gates are closed so you have to bike or hike in.
I bike about 5 miles in before I even start to scout. :scared:

you know, i got the map, i pulled the ariel photos, and i did some leg work ,but this florida hunting is still new to me. i can find turkey every year. and i atleast see some hogs and have been able to take a few, but these deer are different. I have 350 acres in upstate NY. I go up every year for the deer season.no scouting , no food plots, no trail cams and i still get a decent buck and a doe every year. i hunt it with my dad and a buddy and only one year we didnt all bag a deer. I can go the day before the season opens, find some trails , rubs and scrapes and be done with my hunt in 2 or 3 days.no i know this is private land versus state land but even before i bought my land and hunted the wma's up there ,you could pattern those deer a lot eisier than these. besides just getting away from the people and getting in the thick. what else should i be doing . what kind of areas should i be concentrating my efforts?

its hard to pattern the deer out there at the swamp cause u might hunt a area one week end and see deer sign but u do not no whos hunting that area during the week try some cypress swamps to sit in ,try down by the river, find trails that are being use sit up on them, strand hammocks a good place to try i took my 4 pointer out of there this yr on the last day of gun season just got to be at the right place at the right time

It seems to be the major concencus that hammocks and water are two of the key areas. thanks for the tip . i guess ill be doing a lot of scouting over the next 2 months leading into bow season.
