Also try hunting the sloughs betwween hammocks. Alot of people wont go in because its wet but the deer will travel in them with no problem Ecspecially when the woods are loaded with people.

Yeah I am fixin to get serious with my scouting here soon. Deer have been in summer patterns, but that will start to change here in the next couple weeks. I am headin north to my WMA next weekend and I will go ahead and trim my shooting lanes and brite eye my trails. Its gettin so close I can almost smell it :drool: :drool: :drool:
well went to the swamp this morning and it was hot and wet but did manage to see some turkeys,and two does got my stand and my buddies stand hung ,cut trails to them now just waiting on season to start

I was there this morning as well and if you were in the truck driving through, how did you get in?
Saw one doe and heard some hogs. Found a new place to hunt during archery very near to where I was last year. Nice fresh sign on a few game trails that all run through the same area.
I also wouldn't advertise that you got your stands hung. Not supposed to be putting them in there until the day before opener or something like that.
