ARCHERY SEASON: November 13 through December 5. Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit (if hunting during first 4 days), hunting license, management area permit, archery permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), and state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl).
Just wanted to clarify that you don't need a quota during archery except for the 1st 4 days. My buds gonna be there Wed. after work and I'd hate for him to get into any trouble over it. I can't find anything on the check station either. He's gonna ride his bike for 10 min. from his house to his stand. Ain't that nice. :scooter

how do you know they are marking stands? did you get busted? i didnt get to go this weekend, i was abel to go back where i shot my 10 during muzzle. will be there this weekend hope to have some luck,, anybody got a board count on what was killed opening day? thanks Karl
Talked to game warden while he was checking licenses and permits. Was wondering if they pulled any stands like what happened in Croom. Some hunters put stands out earlier than the day before and some were confiscated. If they wanted them back they were going to have to pay a fine.
It took me a couple of days to find a good deer highway and some scrapes. I was hunting in an area burned last year and there was literally no undergrowth. But I finally saw a spike buck running through there. To bad he was out of range.
Then yesterday, moved to another spot that I checked the day before. We get in there and the darn deer were bedded down next to the trail we had to walk in on. We hear them moving off and they did not come back after light. But at least now I know they are in there.
Has anyone harvested a deer in Citrus this year?
A buddy of mine killed a 4pt in there last weekend.
has anyone seen any signs of the rut yet? I did shoot at a six point @45yds last sat,, he was by himself and his hocks were black, but no scrapes or rubs yet???
