Heading up there tomorrow-thursday-to poke around. :scooter anyone know if is wet or dry?? Calling a place a swamp sometimes is not quite right. I did hear it is pretty thick in places but so is green swamp.
My lease is 5 miles from there. Matter of fact you will go right by it going to Mallory. It is dry dry dry up there right now. The bay heads and swamps have a little water, but for the most part it is a dust bowl up that way. Mallory Swamp is a pretty place. It looks different now as it did back when I was a kid(it used to be part of once what was Lafayette hunt club). They had a bad muck fire in there several years ago and it changed the dynamics of that place

Lots of hogs. I cannot vouch for the deer situation, as I haven't been over there in quite a few years. Find acorns and hunt them right now. We are in a bumper crop year and the game is honed in on them right now
