He said he saw a couple deer here and there. Sort of the same story over there. Looked like the rut was going to kick off and never did. Same deal with the acorns, too. They are everywhere. He is back at it tomorrow, so I'll get the latest from him probably tomorrow night.

My buddy on this forum lives right across the street from the dump side and wants to hit it after the quota's. Any advice you can throw out there would help alot. Good luck!!!

Anyone hunting citrus this year is putting in there time scouting. It is dry out there. There were lots of acorns on the threes 3 weeks ago. then that cold front and the wind came in and knocked them off the trees. I have found a few scrapes, but rubs are getting hard to find. The last 2 yrs they were easy to find, now, you cannot even buy one.

Btw, the leo's are out there checking, so if you had a stand in the woods before the day before hunting season you best leave it alone or pull it. They have several marked by GPS locations.

how do you know they are marking stands? did you get busted? i didnt get to go this weekend, i was abel to go back where i shot my 10 during muzzle. will be there this weekend hope to have some luck,, anybody got a board count on what was killed opening day? thanks Karl
