Well thats nothing like what the fwc put in the pamphlet.
So there is no such thing as reserved camp sights. No one answers or replies to this phone number.
CAMPING: 1.The Division of Forestry regulates camping and a fee is required. Hunt camps also require a permit for reserved camping. For more information and dates hunt camps are open to the public, call the Withlacoochee State Forest Recreation Visitors Center at 352-754-6896. Sale of available reserved hunt camp sites begins the first Thursday after Labor day.
This makes it sound like you have to call and reserve your sight. Is it just me or this how you read this? thats straight from the brochure

Here's the deal....there are reserved camp sites....many of them are "owned" by the same people year after year. Even if your grandfather had a camp site, you can reserve it year after year, as long as you keep renewing the site. The forestry people send out renewal notices every year to the people who occupied the spot last year. If no one reserves the spot it becomes available the first Tuesday after Labor day....(go early to get in line)
Sale of "available" reserved hunt camp....that's the catch phrase you have to pay attention too. It's what I call the high rent district, they have showers, and real sit bathrooms.
The Forest Service district office is located 3 miles north of Brooksville on US41, west side of the road.
The FWC called said the brochure need to be changed and there calling the forestry department about there being no response.
