So with a long term site FCFS site if I camp with a tent, pack it up and leave for the week to return the next weekend and someone sets up in the site I have a permit for im SOL and they get to stay there while I'm screwed without a place to camp? If it works like that then that's just idiotic and there is no point in giving out permits, should just be FCFS setup where ever you want. I'll be damned if I have to leave my tent there for a week or any other equipment so some pos can steal it.
If you selected a site from the board there at GS for short term or long term , it says you must leave something there showing that you will be back....But if you were selected through the draw you don't have to leave anything there....check my above posting that section i printed is only for short term and long term

I read it, thus my question. I have to obtain a Long Term FCFS permit because I wasn't selected in the online quota. My question is since I tent camp and always take "EVERYTHING" home when I'm finished for the weekend and setup upon returning the following week, what am I to do if someone sets up there before I arrive because nobody was there yet? How would that situation be handled? They really expect people to leave tents and other valuable camping gear that isn't very weather proof out for months just to keep your spot? Is the person who made that rule really that stupid?
I have a feeling this is going to get a little out of hand....which is a shame because I need a spot to pitch a tent from the 23rd to the 27th...sounds to me like the law may be showing up to settle a few disputes

Well according to what was written YES you would loose your spot to someone else, I would get a very cheap tent off of creigs list and set it up and leave it there
THAT WHY I CALLED THE FWC! LEAVE YOUR TENT SET UP THERE OR YOU WILL GIVE UP THAT SITE BECAUSE IT IS NOT "OCCUPY". YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER SITE. DURING THIS ARCHERY SEASON THE BOARD SAID ALL THE SITES WHERE TAKEN. YOU DRIVE THRU THE CAMP GROUND AND ONLY 10% OF THE SITE WHERE BEING USED. I SEEN ONE GUY DRIVE IN THERE AND SENT UP A TENT AND THEN DRIVE OFF AND NEVER SEEN AGAIN? THE WHOLE IDEA OF THE NEW RULES IS TO HELP OUT THE REAL HUNTERS & CAMPERS.
