Anyone making anything out of the ordinary this year. We are sticking with the basics...

Got the crockpot going right now, black eye peas with smoked hog jowls, threw in the christmas ham bone for good measure. Later today, going to drop in the pot some smoked pork neck w/collard greens cut from the garden this morning and serve it with some fresh corn bread. Need to make a beer run for the games this afternoon, going to be fat and happy the rest of the day.

I hope everyone had a safe and great new years eve. Here's to hoping this year is better than the last. :toast

That looks just about like what I have going on the stove. Some good eats right there.

Blk Eyed Peas, Collard Greens, Ham, Jalapeno cornbread, Rice, Big slice of Onion, Tall glass of milk. Pecan Pie.
Then when cant eat anymore, Wattle out on the front porch and fire up a big fat Dominican Stogie.
Life is good!!
Happy New Year to all, hope 2012 is great!
:cheers

Nope just good food.

A couple of Spanish seasoned domestic fresh hams. Some meat balls, my BBQ beans, German potato salad and coleslaw.

meat balls were venison and hog sausage really good

Beans were 1 lb bacon, 1/2 lb salt pork, 1 lb ground pork, 1 lb burger, 1 onion, 1/8 to 1/4 cup molasses, 1 cup brown sugar and two 53 oz cans of pork and beans.
