Start off with some tangerines and oranges from the trees in the yard.(you can use anything you want). Peel and put in a clean container with a lid.
Fill to cover fruit with Vodka of your choice. Gently turn over and shake couple times a day.
Let sit for about 4 days and strain a few times. Strain again with a coffee filter, and pour back in the bottle

Serve chilled on the rocks

if you don't mind a little tip, the rind or zest (peeled carefully to avoid the white pith, that just makes it bitter) contains a lot if not the most of the flavor and will turn the vodka or grain alcohol (in my case) the color of the fruit. also a coffee filter is very slow going, I start with a kitchen strainer then go to a coleman fuel filter to get the big stuff before the coffee filter. not trying to butt in, just be helpfull.
