If you get a real stinky one, you can use baking soda on the meat, along with ice. Usually the stink is on the outside, and not in the meat(unless he has been run or caught).

I just pack them in ice for several days and keep it drained. very very rarely will you ever taste any wild taste. I notice it more in deer than I do in venison
