2lb venison burger
1t yellow mustard
2T brown sugar
1t lemon juice
1t white vinegar
1/2 C ketchup
1/2 C BBQ sauce of choice (I used Stubbs)
1/2 small onion
1/2 small bell pepper

Brown meat, onions, and peppers and drain. Combine remaining ingredients and simmer 10 min. Serve with coleslaw of choice.

I used half-n-half BBQ and ketchup mix and even the wife, who said she doesn't like sloppy joes, liked it.

Stubbs is the BEST BBQ sauce. Love that stuff. This recipe sounds great. Now I actually need some venison. :toast

Yeah, that's my problem too! I still have one pack of ground and about a half of a ham left over from a deer I killed two years ago. (yes it's still good. I check it for any freezer burn and so far none)
I don't want to finish it off until I get another one. It's kinda like a kid that doesn't want to give up his blankie, only it's meat!

Yeah I am getting worried too. I am dwindling down on my venison(and believe it or not pork too, even though I shot 13 last season)
And the scary part is I may not even be in a lease this season and have to rely on pubic land again
