my family's favorite is still.
pan fry venison cube steak.. little salt and pepper. 5 mins a side. throw in crock pot with cream of mushroom soup and french onion dip mix. slow cook all day. serve of long grain rice with collard greens. make you slap your grandma. lol

I do it very similar, but :
I make a thick onion gravy and put the meat back in it. Either in a cast iron pan or a pyrex dish. Put in oven for an hour or two

Im gonna go take some out of freezer now. Been trying to eat venison and pork 2-3 times a week to clean the freezer out

Nothing secret about it...
Get all the silver membrane and sinew off meat.
Slice across grain about 1/2" thick
I marinated the pieces in a ziploc with whatever 30 minute marinade you prefer. I Like the teryaki.

Then use Italian seasoned bread crumbs to bread it.
Fry hot and fast so it is med rare inside

Took a big pack of venison cube steak out this morning.
When I got in from work I marinated it in a ziploc. Fried it real fast, then made a big batch of onion gravy. Got it simmering real slow in the oven now. Ill take a pic when it comes out :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool: :drool:
