Called in two hunters.......Do peoople think they are going to kill a gobbler just slipin thru the woods. Very disapointing mornig. I could see doin this if it was gobbles and not clicks and yelps.
In the fall season with a bow I have, multiple times but in spring its harder. In spring it best to locate then setup and call.
Funny how there more alert in matting season and deer are less. or is it there just looking harder and notice more?
So the answer to your question is maybe. It would be better that working on my boat and truck. One thing i learned is you cant harvest one from under you truck in the garage.
I had the ahole in my lease this morning with no muffler on his truck driving to every hammock and hollerin like a owl with a chest cold. Funny i was listening to a bird and was praying he wouldn't gobble for about 2 minutes. I could hear this guys truck for an hour crank up, stop, door slam, crank up...

I've got tons of owls and crows calling in my area and the turkeys rarely shock gobble to them. things are slow gobble wise but picking up slowly daily. last year the last day of the season was the heaviest gobbling day. went for the brass ring today looking for mr big instead of my sure thing spot and got skunked, not counting the 2 sandhill cranes I called in. 2 others scored this am.
The bird i been listening to for 3 days has gobbled his throat sore at every crow that makes a noise. But only on the roost. Once he flies down and his hens lead him off hes lock jawed till about 20 min before dark.
