I got to say it is not a good thing that you shot, and missed. It really hurt your chance at seeing him again. The good thing is if 1 gobbler likes a certain cypress head more than likely another one might be there also. He might of not gone to far, and you may hear him in another local. Sounds to me you had plenty of time to build a blind once the bird started gobbling. Just precut some palmetto frawns, and stack them neatly to carry. Once you hear one get within setup distance and stick them in the ground = instant blind! The bottom line if you don't have a better place to go. I would be right back there a little more prepared.
my uncle, and I got busted by a bird opening morning. The bird never ran just never stopped. I got the gun up on him just couldn't settle the bead while he was walking though some small pines. I didn't shoot. The next day I shot a bird from the same blind, but a different bird. Stick with it.
i have 2 more paid hunts.thurs.. friday..maybe one or two later on.... then i will get to hunt. seen 3 nice birds this morrnin. 4 killed this season.biggest 8 inch..but i learned next year higher prices.....

Hey man you should spread the wealth. SOme of us can't afford to go turkey hunting so you should bring us for free. Your Turkey rich and we're turkey poor,I feel you should have to give me small percent of your turkeys for free.
you no what they say... nothing free any more.property wasnt free when i bought it.its not tax free.up keep food plots feeders wasnt free.BUT maybe later when everything is paid will have to wait and see.but you arent the first to ask......
I was being sarcastic.Thats what entitlements are all about,you worked hard for what you have or at least someone in your family did.Why should you have to give a piece of it away because someone did not do the same.I hope you understand what I'm trying to say you know "Spread the wealth".
