Saw some little guys, around 40 lbs. Still some water on the ground, so next time I think Ill bring some waterproof boots to get deeper into it. I will be going down there again, there is definitely a ton of sign, and its not like the pigs are hard to find. I might bring a climbing tree stand as well, just in case. Lots of areas are thick, and the tree stand would help.
Overall, it was a good trip. I did 10-12 miles of hiking on Friday while scouting, and about 4-6 miles while hunting. Most of the hunters I saw stuck right around the entrance to the park, probably within a 1/2 mile. There are lots of spots to push into if you packed light and had boots that kept your feet dry. Once I got passed the first mile of trail, I didn't see anyone, yet I saw 4 or 5 dudes sitting in tree stands and walking right by the entrance. Like I said, there are definitely lot's of opportunities.
I might go again Friday morning ( Oct 25th). Let me know if you want to meet up for the morning hunt.
