Got a few other ones but no pics, But we did take a pic of this one we got last night.
Saw it running through the field from the stand so we decided to take off on foot to see if we could catch up with it. I wanted my brother to shoot one so I only had a light and my pistol. He hit it running with his .308 and dropped it in it's tracks.
Actually wanted to leave this one alive since I can tell which group is around by the color of a few of them. The rest of this group is either solid black or white, But we figured if we could get a clean shot he was going to take one for the team...
That's a good shot for a running shot!
Yeah he got lucky, He was using a regular 3x9 scope and I was holding the light on it. I thought he grabbed his AR since it was running. I honestly didn't think he had much of a chance when I saw he had the 308..
But it worked out and that group has one less breeding boar in it.. Hope to see them again tonight. There is a bigger white one in that group I want to take a dirt nap... :gangsta
We almost didn't get a pic of this one. We had already started skinning it when he mentioned the pic. This is his first from the property so he was excited about it.
good story good shot good pig
Got another one tonight. I had a shot on a bigger black pig but this one and another white one about the same size were side by side and I figured I could kill two with one shot. I aimed for the shoulder and it went through this one and hit the other pig. The second pig flopped around on the ground then got up and ran off into the State Forest next to the property. There was a few blood drops but nothing major. I may go look for it tomorrow but most likely the buzzards will let me know if the shot was fatal..
The blood you see is the exit wound. It destroyed that shoulder. 150 grain did a number on the internals. She never flinched after the shot.
