feeling your pain HD, hundreds of dollars/ pounds of corn humped into my feeder, batteries, time spent sitting/still hunting and thousands of pics of squirrels/raccoons/deer getting fat on my corn (regular whole and soured corn). not giving up they were there once and will be somewhere nearby again. just gonna stick with it. not like I have anywhere else to go.
These guys have some pretty srtong opinions on calls and the like.

Pretty sure you are not allowed to use electronic calls for hogs...
For the 2010/2011 season I've belonged to my first hunting club. Only found out after joining and paying my dues that it's a dog hunting club and I'm strictly a still hunter. I've spent days and days and days for this entire season and for the first time in 5 years I have not killed a single hog! :taz I like the property, have seen tons of where the hogs were (not to be confused with where I was) and haven't even heard one much less seen one. I've put out hundreds of pounds of corn, spent countless hours stalking and sitting in tree stands and am ready to give up and go back to WMA's.
My question is, has anyone tried using an electronic game caller for hogs? I know it's illegial in WMAs but I,m talking a private lease. If it works I will renew my lease for 2011/2012. If it does not work I will not renew and will go back to WMAs...
Thanks :hang
I don't know why you can't kill a hog in that lease. I hunt directly across hwy 51 from you, and I killed 11 of them this season. And they run dogs on my place too. And mine is only 6k acres compared to 30k that you are on
As far as electronic calls....don't think I've ever seen a need to use one for hogs. Hogs are easy enough to kill without that
Larry that's just not true. You knew that was a dog hunting club when you joined, I told you that.I'm sorry I ever tried helping you out.
