I think walk and stalk is the most fun way. That was the only way I did it the whole last season.

My uncle used to do "chase and face" - run after the hog through the palmettos while the dogs chased it, until they got it backed up against something, then he'd shoot it!
I've never actively hunted hogs, although I've had them come out while sitting deer stands. I came close to throwing down on a big sow 2 years ago, but I caught sight of a buck further back in the pines, and held off hoping he'd come around. He never got clear where I could get a kill shot, and then it got too dark and I missed both animals.

I do whatever seems to be working. Some places stalking works better then sitting and waiting. Just depends on the area.
