My way is much easier then that. Hanging them from the head I can fly through it.
Frank, Im regularly in Panama City so if your close let me know. John, hanging them from the head causes the meat to separate if your not careful and slows gutting IME. Some folks swear by it though.
causes the meat to separate from what? i have a friend that can have a hog gutted, skinned, quartered and in the cooler in less than 10. it looks like he just murdered a small village of people with a hatchet, but he is fast and likes to do it. he hangs them by the head as well. i have always hung hogs by their heads, it works better for me.
I got a buddy, that has a buddy, that knows someone that can beat that time by 2 minutes...LOL anyway all of you are invited to clean and package all my kills this year!
Pulling the hide from head t tail can pull some meat off with the hide, as in separating it from the pig right around the loins ( backstraps). Not saying my way is best, just that its the way proffessionals do it.
