This is Mike our Jack Russell Terrier in his battle gear. I know some of you are LOL right now, but if you saw him in action you would be impressed. He is very smart and fast, he gives grit and heart their meaning.
My JRT would love nothing better than to tangle with a hog. He has bayed calves for me in the stock pen and ran armadillos out of their holes so I could shoot 'em, and even treed a mess of squirrels for me. Smartest dog I ever owned! poor rascal's sixteen right now and in a bad way... Sure miss the good old days huntig and working with Tank!
I know a guy who has a beagle jrt cross that will catch anything. I just don't think a jrt has a nose. Does he find hogs or do you carry him to bays?
Gonehuntn i see you finally got the hog dog you wanted. Cant wait to see him in action.
He does trail a little bit, but we just started working with him.
