You sitting in a stand or stalking? I'd use the Marlin if I'm walking around. The 300 if I'm just sitting in the stand...

Take both and use accordingly - the 300 for any shot that is gonna be long, the 450 for walking around or close?

A few weeks ago a guy had a 450 on a hunt and shot a 130# boar hog through the hind quarter and the slug traveled into the front shoulder, no salvageable meat was found. The slug travelled delivering severe concussion damage that bloodied the back straps, shoulders, both hind quarters and neck meat....
